Wild Fish. Real People. Honest Work.
Out in Alaska’s untamed waters, on a 52-foot boat called the Fairweather, a husband-and-wife team is doing seafood the hard way—on purpose.
Caleb and Jess of Fairweather Fish Co. aren’t part of some big fishing fleet. They catch every fish themselves, with hook and line. No nets. No crowding. Just one fish at a time, brought on board with care, bled, cleaned, and blast frozen within the hour—preserving peak flavor, texture, and nutrition like nature intended.
Why does that matter? Because most “fresh” fish on the market is anything but. It’s been sitting on ice, traveling thousands of miles, and by the time it hits your plate, it’s often lost its best qualities. Fairweather’s method skips all that. Their fish tastes like it just left the ocean—because it basically did.
Each season, the Fairweather crew lives on the water for months at a time, filling their hold every couple of weeks before offloading the catch and shipping it straight to cold storage in Idaho. It’s a supply chain so simple, it’s almost unheard of—direct from their hands to yours. And because they handle everything themselves, every fillet is 100% traceable and thoughtfully handled from start to finish.
We’re proud to carry fish from folks who live by the values we care about most: clean, honest food, rooted in place and purpose. This is seafood the way it should be—wild, responsible, and personal.
